you all know my love for peanut butter & chocolate. it is an undying love. for sure. so naturally. i will find any way to eat it up. this snack is my way of giving a healthy spin to that sweet & salty goodness.
meet the healthy-ish trail mix.
sure it has an abundance of m&ms and reese’s pieces in it. but it also has almonds. and peanuts. and raisins. which makes it healthy-ish. and totally fair game for eating by the fistful all dang day.
i love making my own trail mix at home. because you can make it exactly how you like it. want fewer raisins? and more almonds? done. want 90% chocolate? and zero cashews? done. consider it custom made trail mix. and i am here for it.
i literally do not measure a thing. i pour each ingredient in until my heart is content. then i shake that canister up to mix it all together. so easy.
for this mix. i used plain m&ms. reese’s pieces. salted almonds. raisins. chocolate covered raisins. salted peanuts. peanut butter chips. and salted cashews. it is perfection.
now i am going to let you in on a little secret. pop a buttery bag of popcorn. pour a cup of this into the hot popcorn. and enjoyyyyyy! quickly turns this healthy-ish trail mix into the most unhealthy but most delicious treat ever.
