i used to love going to the gym. spending half my time workout out, half my time socializing. it was a part of my everyday routine. and i loved it.
but the reality is . . . this was during a time in my life when i had plenty of time to spare. free time was not just a luxury… i had an overwhelming amount of it.
this was before i had three little rascals trailing behind my every step. before being a single mom to said three rascals. before early school drop offs, never-ending mounds of little baseball pants with grass stained knees, feeding three little bellies. in addition to my own growing bigger belly. before all the things that makes us moms so super busy with few minutes to spare.
and while i wouldn’t trade my mom title for a complete lack of those little baseball pants with grass stained knees . . . i did miss my gym workouts. and i missed the option of going to the gym at any given time and staying for as long as my jaws would jabber to friends on the machines next to me.
i tried bringing the boys. three little tots trickling in the gym behind me. carrying all the dinos, and trucks, and legos. but that was just not so easy. plus having kiddos with separation anxiety makes for really heavy squats when they are hanging around your neck. literally, gang. i kid you not. many of workouts i had pierce in my arms, squatting away. i was holding on to my gym workouts tighter than their grubby little hands held onto their favorite lego man.
until i gave it up.
there had to be a better way. a more efficient, more effective, more mom-friendly way of getting my workouts in.
and guess what.
while little blonde boys are still snug in their beds in the early morning. or while they are playing baseball in the backyard, or while they are at school. whenever i please.
i can get my workout in. and do it quickly, and timely. with great benefit in so many ways.
without dragging the kids, the dinos, the trucks and legos along. without the hassle of interfering schedules or the wasting of precious minutes. and without the distraction.
with the faster way to fat loss expert trainers cheering me on through every last curl, dip, or squat.
it’s been a game changer, gang. if you are like me. and you are busy busy busy. but you know that you are a better mom when you move your body. and you know you feel your best when you move your body. you know that you literally need to move your body… let’s chat.
