rich & chocolatey. completely indulgent. this spiced & spiked hot cocoa will warm you up in no time.
3 cups whole milk.
2 tablespoon cinnamon.
8 ounces semisweet chocolate. very finely chopped.
3 tablespoons sugar.
pinch of Himalayan salt.
3 ounces bourbon.
marshmallows for topping.
in a medium size pot, bring the milk & cinnamon to a low simmer. stir for about 5 minutes, until you can really smell the cinnamon.
add in the chocolate, salt, and sugar. whisk this until it is completely melted & creamy.
add in the bourbon & stir once more.
pour the mixture into the cocoa mugs. top with marshmallows. then place the filled mugs into the oven under the broiler. this will toast up the marshmallows for you.
