brown sugar & pecan bacon

12 slices of bacon

1/4 cup chopped pecans

3 tablespoons brown sugar

2 teaspoons black pepper


in a food processor, chop up the pecans. add the sugar & pepper to the bowl. stir to combine. 

lay your bacon slices out on a wire rack, on a tin foil lined baking sheet. 

spoon the pecan mixture onto the bacon slices. use the back of the spoon to press the mixture down into the slices. 

bake at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. then let the bacon cool for about 5 minutes to set completely.
